Hampton Community College (HCC) will be operated as an academy from September 2010 under the name Hampton Academy, after proposals were agreed by Richmond Council's cabinet on 14 December. Kunskapsskolan will set up a charitable trust, the ‘Learning Schools Trust´ (LST) to manage the academy, with the Council, as co-sponsor, sitting on its board.
