Learning Schools Trust appoints John Baumber as CEO and Education Director
The Learning Schools Trust today announces with immediate effect the appointment of John Baumber as CEO and Education Director.
London, 25 May 2010 — The Learning Schools Trust today announces with immediate effect the appointment of John Baumber as CEO and Education Director.
Mr. Baumber has over 35 years of experience from the education field, including 25 years in senior leadership positions at a number of schools in England and Sweden. Prior to joining the Learning Schools Trust, Mr. Baumber was Executive Principal at The Brook Learning Partnership from 2004-2007, Headteacher at Rivington and Blackrod High School from 1998-2007 and Headteacher at Prudhoe Community High School from 1988-1998. Mr. Baumber joins the Learning Schools Trust from Kunskapsskolan Saltsjöbaden, a secondary school where he had been Executive Head since 2007. During this time, Mr. Baumber was also Executive Head of Kunskapssgymnasiet Observatoriet, one of Kunskapsskolan´s ten upper schools for students aged 16-19 and the Science Centre Kunskapsskolan´s group of schools in Sweden. Commenting on the appointment, Per Unckel, Chairman of the Learning Schools Trust said: “With his successful career within both the UK educational system and Kunskapsskolan in Sweden, John is the ideal CEO and Educational Director for the Learning Schools Trust.
